Welcome to Shawn David Baker - Freelance Illustrator / Fine Artist

I received my Bachelor of Illustration/Computer Arts from the Academy of Art of San Francisco. My focus while attending school was painting and drawing with the background of computer arts. I am currently working as a freelance illustrator, commissioned to paint portraits/ideas out of your head artwork. Some of my Landscapes of California are displayed in the Image gallery in Hayes Valley behind the Civic Center in Downtown San Francisco. Also I have been teaching/tutoring Art at Marin community college for the past year.

I am very dedicated to my profession, and open-minded to experiment with various mediums. I am a hard working team worker, and anxious to share my ideas with other artists. With the quality of my work experience and extensive educational background, I believe that I have what it takes to become a member of your prestigious company. Everyday there are countless miracles occurring around us. Only through awareness can we experience the beauty surrounding us. Art is born through this awareness. Through this gift of sense, it is a rebirth of creation. Which helps us to enhance the appreciation of the humankind. For this reason I am an artist.
